A wet and windy morning did not deter out under 10 and under 11 girls teams from participating in a park run this morning in Whitley Bay. The run was done as a fund raiser to boost funds for the teams.
The horrible weather conditions would normally put off a lot of people from doing this however, the offer of free ice cream was enough to persuade a few to join in. It is safe to say that the offer of ice cream was not taken up by too many afterwards!
