Allotment March On

Allotment faced Crook Town in their penultimate game of the season looking to extend their unbeaten run and they did just that running out 3-1 winning in a competitive match where the quality of Allotments forward line was the difference. The first half didn't have a lot in it with both sides struggling to finish off some good build up play. However on forty minutes Allotment won a corner and when the ball was swung in Luke Parkinson made a connection which was deflected in to give Allotment the lead.

The second half was much the same although Allotment controlled the game better with most things starting through Joe Robson. On sixty three minutes a lovely through ball from Giraud saw Larmouth sprinting down the left and he cut in and squared the ball for Conner Campbell to score his fifth goal in three games. The introduction of Cockburn again paid dividends as in stoppage time he won the ball in midfield and raced forward to fire a well struck shot across the keeper and into the bottom corner.

Allotment have their last game of the season against Benfield on Saturday at Palmerville and look set to finish eighth another great achievement.

The search for a new management team is still open and interested parties should email info@westallotmentcelticfc.co.uk
