All Square Friday Night

Allotment travelled to Whickham for a Friday night kick off with the points being shared in a game which each side had their chances. The first half saw Whickham with most of the chances , with three minutes on the clock Whickham took a corner and hat trick hero from Allotments last game Jake Forster was unlucky when the ball hit him and went in past Gladstone to give Whickham the lead.

Allotment nearly got back level very quickly when Callum Larmouth crashed a powerful shot against the Whickham bar. Dan Gladstone had to be on his toes to turn a low well struck free kick round the post on sixteen minutes. The best chance of the half fell to Conner Campbell and he was played in to be one to one with Bussey in the Whickham goal , however the keeper blocked the shot and the half ended 1-0 to Whickham .

Jake Forster was unlucky not to get Allotment level with a great header from a Giraud corner but his effort was cleared off the line. The introduction of Cockburn on the left wing saw Allotment much the better side as they pressed for an equaliser . That arrived on seventy-six minutes when Conner Campbell saw his first shot well saved but reacted the faster to fire home.

The game opened up with both sides having further chances but a draw was probably fair. Play was held up as the players chased a dog round the pitch to the amusement of all.

Allotment turn their attention to Crook Town at home as Allotment look to maintain their unbeaten run.
