Ladies At The Double

West Allotment Ladies got back to league duty with a game against Heaton Hawks Ladies after the game was reversed to Kings Playing fields with Heaton pitches still waterlogged. Allotment welcomed back Megan Hindmarsh after she had been out for six months with a knee injury.

The first half saw Heaton playing the better football and having two really good chances to take the lead. Allotment couldn't quite get going although they still had a couple of chances.

The second half was much better with Heaton not really threatening the Allotment goal and spending most of the time pinned in their half as Allotment finally woke up and got back to preforming.

The scoring was open by a good move and finish from Emma Hallowell. Allotment continued to press and after Heaton gave the ball away from a goal kick Megan Hindmarsh marked her return with a left foot shot to put the Ladies two up.

The ladies are at home again next Sunday for their last home match of the season when they take on Prudhoe at 2pm.

Emma and Megan scoring their goals.
