Two In A Row

Allotment made it two wins in two games this week with a comfortable win against struggling Northallerton. Allotment welcomed back Calum Larmouth to the starting line up and were able to rest one or too. Allotment opened brightly and Northallerton were finding it difficult to live the pace of the Allotment front three.

On ten minutes a nicely worked move between Giraud and Larmouth saw Allotment take the lead . Larmouth getting in behind and finishing across the keeper. Several other chances followed but the final cross or pass was missing. Then on twenty minutes Giraud picked up the ball outside the box went past a couple of players and sent a low shot into the goal at the near post. That set the tone for the rest of the half with the only real threat to Dan Gladstone goal coming in the last minutes of the half.

Northallerton started the second half much better and should have pulled one back when Sonni Coleman found himself free in front of goal both hit his shot straight at the legs of Gladstone and the ball bounced out for a corner. Lucas Lowery was a constant threat on the left and on 59 minutes broke forward to force a good save from Norton in the Northallerton goal. Northallerton were working really hard to try to compete with Allotment but really never produced a serious threat to the Allotment goal apart from a miss hit cross which grazed the crossbar. Had Allotment forwards made better choices in the final third more goals would have followed. The game ended 2-0 and another three points in the bag for the green and whites.
