Another Fine Away day

For once the weather was quite nice as Allotment headed over the Tyne to face Sunderland RCA who are having a difficult season. It didn't take Allotment long to open the scoring as Giraud found the net with a smart finish from the edge of the box on four minutes. It was all Allotment with RCA having difficulty getting out of their own half and a second goal arrived on 26 minutes when Conner Campbell poked the ball home after a fumble from the RCA keeper. Allotment had most of the ball but made hard work of things and it took RCA until the 34th minute to have they first effort on goal which Dan Gladstone saved well.

The second half saw RCA seeing more of the ball and on 65 minutes Dan Maw unleashed a 25 yard shot which flew into the top corner. It then looked as we might have a game but after making some changes Allotment took control again on 78 minutes when a lovely free kick from Luke Parkinson restored the two goal lead. On 82 minutes a nice move saw George Brady play in a low cross which Conner Campbell turned in for his second of the game and then on 86 Lucas Motondo rounded things off with a good run and finish.

The clip shows Luke Parkinson scoring and below that receiving a gift from the ladies team captain Emily Dodds on behalf of the club in recognition of his number of appearances.
