West Allotment returned home after a great week on the road winning two games and scoring eleven goals. The game against Seaham was always going to be a tougher affair based on the Wearsiders current form. Allotment got off to the worst possible start after conceding to a Max Nelson goal form a corner after only three minutes. However Allotment then started to find there feet and had the better of the possession and created some good chances. On fourteen minutes Giroud set off on a run into the Seaham box and was tripped from behind. Up stepped Calum Larmouth to smash the penalty home and get off the mark this season. Allotment continued to be the better side and on nineteen minutes got their reward with a lovely move finished off by McCarthy to make it 2-1.
Towards the end of the half Seaham looked dangerous on the break and on forty one minutes they equalised when Darty scored with a good strike from the edge of the box.
Allotment started the second half well enough but as time went on gave the ball away to Seaham too many times and the away side seemed to have more energy. Both sides did have chances before on seventy two minutes Seaham broke down the right hand side and when the ball was played into the box Burnicle's initial shot was blocked by Errington but the striker reacted quicker and scored to give Seaham a 3-2 advantage.
Seaham then had other chances to extend their lead but couldn't take them . Allotment kept plugging away and McCarthy had a good chance to pull Allotment level but fired wide. With almost the last kick of the game Larmouth received the ball on the edge of the box after a cross from Parkinson and a nice lay off from Baltazar to rifle home his shot. The game ended 3-3 and for the 120 in attendance had produced a really good game of football.
Allotment are in action again at home this Saturday against Guisborough Town at 3pm so why not come down and support the hoops.
