West Allotment Celtic ladies can confirm the signings of Amber Cochrane and Hanna Reid ahead of the new season.
Amber Cochrane who is to be our goalkeeper is currently 20 years old and started playing when she was 10. She is currently studying Physical Education and Youth Sport at the University of Sunderland. Amber also plays for the Futsal and Football team at the Uni. After her degree Amber hopes to excel in a PE teaching career.
Hanna Reid is a left footed defender who has previously played for Newcastle and Sunderland Ladies and is a very technically gifted player.
Ladies coach David Dodds has expressed his delight with the new additions to his squad;
"I'm delighted to sign both these players for the coming season. They will both add experience and knowledge to help our younger players," said David.
Brook Cochrane the NUWFC captain has also re-signed for the club which again is a great boost to the squad as Brooke is such a great role model for all young players.
Furthermore, we are expected to make more signings very shortly which will improve our squad and West Allotment also have some talented young players stepping up to the squad as well.
