On Monday the Northumberland Ladies league is holding a vote amongst its Ladies teams. The vote will give two choices either to make the season null and void or award the league winners on a points per game basis. The latter would see West Allotment Ladies crowned as league winners. Looking at the fact that we have gone unbeaten all season in the league including beating the top of the table team twice it would be harsh if the vote wasn't on points per game. Promotion from the league is still not guaranteed as the FA has not finally decided what to do. Over 400 clubs from different leagues including both men and Ladies team have lobbied the FA and sort legal help. The point being there should not be one rule for the Premiership and EFL and one rule for non league. The lack of consultation has also upset many when you consider at non league level the amount of time volunteers give and the clubs that have spend money upgrading grounds on the assumption of promotion.
