The ladies rounded off the season with one of their best displays beating Washington 4-0. Two goals in each half from Gabby McConnel and Hannah Dodds did the damage with Anna Mullen in goal providing at last some steadiness. The last two weeks could and should have seen us climb out of trouble but very slow starts against Norton and Guisborough cost us despite good second half come backs.
Early in the season saw us play many games with the bare 11 or less and with no regular keeper it was tough to keep going.
The squad however stuck together and we have showed when we get everyone there we where a match for most of the teams in the league. Now time to reflect and go again next season with the aim of getting straight back up. Hopefully all of the current squad will stay and with few additions we expect to be challenging for an immediate return.
Clip shows Hannah Dodds scoring her first in her last game before she goes to the USA on a football scholarship.
