On Sunday the ladies took on Chester-le -Street United and again had no goalkeeper available due to injury. As in many games this season we got off to a slow start and got punished with CLS going 1-0 up. This did seem to wake the team up and we were unlucky not to score with the CLS keeper making a good save from Gabby McConnel and the follow up being cleared off the line. However McConnel was not to be denied and got the equaliser later in the half. However in the second half CLS scored again and Allotment despite having chances just couldn't score. The amount of games lost by the odd goal have really cost us this season . The ladies now have five league games left with one away and four at home and also the small matter of a cup final against Newcastle United Ladies Development looming . It is hoped that our Keeper will recover in time for that game.
