Match Preview: Bishop Auckland vs West Allotment Celtic

After 10 games played in the league so far, West Allotment remain winless with just three points on the board. We travel to County Durham for our next fixture to take on Bishop Auckland in a pivotal bottom of the table clash.

Our Opponents

Bishop Auckland currently sit two places higher in the league in 18th position. They are six points ahead of West Allotment however, Bishop have played 12 games in comparison to our 10 games. There are also six goals in difference when it comes to goal difference with Bishop being at -13 and West Allotment being at -19.

Bishop Auckland have also recently dipped into the transfer market and done a deal with Northern League Division One high-flyers, Thornaby. The deal saw Jack Conner join Thornaby from Bishop Auckland with the latter receiving defensive pairing Jamie Poole and Anthony Callaghan in return.

As of today, Bishop Auckland have just appointed Chris Hardy as their new manager. Hardy has over 1,000 games as a manager under his belt and recently had a 5 year spell at Northern Premier League outfit Whitby Town before taking a break from football 12 months ago. Hardy will not be in charge for tomorrow's fixture with Allotment.

Since the first meeting in 2006, the two sides have met 18 times in all competitions with West Allotment winning five of those encounters.

The last game came in an FA Vase tie in 2018 which saw Bishops run out 3-1 winners - Dean Walker getting on the scoresheet on that day for Allotment.

Our last victory over Saturday's opponents came six years ago in October 2015. Allotment won that game 2-0.
