Ladies Team Departures

With all the latest incomings occurring at West Allotment Celtic's Ladies Team, unfortunately we now have to say goodbye to some of our players who will now be departing the club and moving on to new stages of their careers.

Chloe Flannaghan will be leaving us to take up a football scholarship in the USA. She has been with us for two seasons and has established herself as a hardworking midfielder with an eye for goal in her time with the club. Abbie Hulme will also be exiting the club as well as she also takes up a football scholarship in the USA. Abbie has been with West Allotment Ladies Team since the formation of the team and has operated as a midfielder, forward and even in goal when no goalkeeper was available during her time at the club.

The third name who will be leaving the club is Sophie Jordan. Sophie will be heading off to university in the Netherlands as she is a Dutch speaker with relatives over there as well. Sophie joined us two seasons ago and has developed incredibly well as a winger or defender.

The fourth and final name on the list of departures is goalkeeper, Ella Metcalf. Ella was only with the club for one season and will now be joining Alnwick to try and play further up the leagues.

Ladies coach David Dodds has went on record to express his gratitude to the girls for their efforts during their time at the club.

"We would like to place our thanks on record to all the girls for their efforts while wearing the green and white hoops. It has been a pleasure coaching you and in the three seasons we have existed helping us to win a cup and promotion."

We are hopeful that some of these players will be able to play for us when back on holidays in the future. Good luck to them all!
