Juniors Round Up

With the weather again causing the postponement of all games on Sunday only our girls teams played

U10 Girls

A great game of football that ended in a high scoring draw. Evie F was player of the match . Bex and Megan were amongst the goals and the game could have gone either way.

U11 Warriors

A tough match against Ponteland who are one of the stand out sides this season. However the girls worked really hard and never made it easy. Sophie D had a great day scoring two goals and special mention to Jess who despite hurting her back battled on in goal.

U16 Girls

Facing a top of league side is never easy especially with only 10 players. However in the first half there was nothing to choose between the sides with Allotment trying to play on the counter attack. Hannah and Elethea working well together up front. Early in the second half Morpeth got the break through to go one up. However Allotment dug in and when Hannah D won the ball in the box in came back to Elethea on the edge of the box who struck a great left foot shot into the top corner. The game was then end to end with both sides having chances. A through ball saw Louise in the Allotment goal race out to dive on the ball and it appeared that the Morpeth forward kicked the ball out of her hands, however nothing was given and the loose ball was driven home. With two minutes to go Morpeth hit Allotment on the break and their forward finished well to give us a final score of 3-1 . However that didn't really tell the story of this game and in truth Allotment deserved something , but that's football
