Junior Round Up

U16 Girls -West Allotment 0 v 2 North Shields

A a local derby against North Shields got underway in very windy conditions and from the start Shields front three caused problems. Allotment were two down in the first ten minutes and hadn't really started to play . Allotment were looking to play on the break and Charlotte D made some good runs down the right wing only to see her shots go wide of the post ( a theme that followed all game) . Elethea T did manage to get on the end of a nice pass from Hannah D but again her shot missed the target. The second half saw a change in formation and this saw Allotment much more in control. However it was the same old story as Jess O, Elethea T and Hannah D just couldn't finish. Shields only had one real chance in the second half and Loiuse W made a good save. Shooting and finishing on the agenda I believe this week in training.

U14 Girls- Red House 0 v 2 West Allotment

The team looked to get back to winning ways and right from the kick off the attitude and work rate was very good . Allotment started the brighter and created several chances with the breakthrough coming as Caitlyn played a quick clever through ball for Lizzie D who raced onto it and calmly slotted home to put Allotment into the lead. Allotment couldn't add to their lead and at half time it was 1-0.

Early in the second half Eleanor had to be brave in the Allotment goal to save at the feet of the Red House striker. The midfield trio of Jess, Libbie and Scarlett were working really well and when Jess brought the ball forward she found Macy who played a nice ball for Lizzie to lift the ball over the defender before placing the ball past the keeper. Goal 102 but whose is counting !. A great performance with Esme getting player of the match. (pictured Below)

U13 Boys

West Allotment Celtic 2 - 0 Newcastle Benfield Tardini

A second win a row for the boys against a good Benfield side who we had drawn with earlier in the season.

The weather spoilt the game preventing either team being able to find any real rhythm. West Allotment took the lead after a powerful shot from 30 yards from Nathan found it's way into the bottom corner.

The second game soon after, a neat passage of play in midfield finally saw the ball played through to Jake who scored his third goal in two games.

West Allotment were unlucky not to grab a further goal when Max could not convert following Jake's long range effort coming back of the crossbar, and a narrow miss from Charley who got onto the end of a through ball down the right.

Goals:

Nathan Storey

Jake Quinn

U11 Girls - West Allotment v Newcastle West End

A very tough game but the girls battled all the way and kept going. In the end though East End took the points

U11 Girls Warriors West Allotment v Newcastle East End Reds

Another tough game against top of the table opposition and with players missing. However the girls kept their heads up and gave it their all and still came off with smiles on their faces.

The girls played some lovely passing moves and managed some great shots which resulted in goals . The defending was also very good and all in all a win for the team.

U8 Boys - West Allotment Barca v North Shields

The match started well with the team getting into the lead but eventually the opposition got back into it and ended up winning. However a good effort and all development.

U7 Greens West Allotment v Seaton Sliuce

The improvement was there for all to see as the U7s went looking for their third win in a row, however despite having most of the ball it was the opposition who would run out winners. The moment of the day was when Lucas G scored for the second week in a row. Mollie got player of the match for her work on the wing. But well done to all
