Junior Round Up

Saturday 8th Feb

U10 Girls - Lost out narrowly to benfield after putting up a great display scoring three goals with Freya in goal making some great saves. Bex got player of the match.

U11 Girls- A cup tie against Wylam where the girls gave it their all but lost out in the end.

U11 Warriors - Again in the cup against Newcastle East End and this time Allotment got through to the quarter finals after a good win. Kaysie and Lola getting the goals with keeper Jess getting player of the match.

U14 Girls - An early start away at Washington which ended in a good 2-1 away win with Lizzie and Libby getting the goals. Great to have Eleanor back in goal after her injury and she made some important saves.

U16 Girls- Away to Swalwell in the league at a ground that never seems to do Allotment any favours. After having all the play Swalwell broke away and scored a good goal with a lob over the keeper. Allotment continued to press and equalised from a corner which went in off a defender. Allotment then took the lead when good work by Elethea down the wing allowed her to put in a low cross which the keeper spilled and Hannah following in scored. At the start of the second half Swalwell took advantage of Allotments failure to clear and some good work from they forward drew them level. Allotment again looked the more likely to get another goal and Elethea came up with a good finish from the edge of the box to make it 3-2. The game opened up with both sides having chances. In the last ten minutes a hopefully ball into the Allotment box saw a mix up between our defender and keeper and the ball ended up going in our goal 3-3 . Still we had chances to win it with a great turn and shot from Jess held by the keeper.
