Allotment make it two in a row

New Fordley 0 v 2 West Allotment

On a very hot day Allotment went to the home of high flying Alliance side New Fordley. In the first half both defences where on top but perhaps Abu should have done better when one v one with the fordley keeper. The second half saw the game open up more with the home side playing some nice balls into the box. Allotment broke away with the ball after a fordley attack broke down and Matty Hayton finished well firing the ball between the advancing keepers legs. Fordley nearly got one back when Hodgson misdirected his punch and the ball looked like it was going in but Micky Scott reacted quickly to clear off the line. Allotment then won a free kick outside the box on the left hand side which Baxter whipped in with the keeper beaten the ball rolled along the bar and dropped for Dean Walker to tap home. Anoher good run out and thanks to New Fordley and former Allotment stalwart Davey Malone for the game.
