Allotment Love Away Days

West Allotment continued their excellent away form with a convincing display away at Crook Town last night. Right from the start of the game Allotment looked in control and had a number of half chances early on. However after ten minutes Crook won a corner and when the ball was swung over the ball was met first time by Crook Captian Dan Mitton on the edge of the box who fired home . However Allotment were behind for only three minutes when Lowery chased a ball played down the wing and dispossessed the full back to cut in and finish smartly. The rest of the half was dominated by Allotment with Larmouth and Errington having chances to score. However half time came with the score still level.

Crook had been working hard to deal with Allotments movement but on fifty seven minutes Thompson picked up the ball in midfield beat his player and found Giroud on the edge of the box, a very smart turn and finish into the bottom corner saw Allotment take the lead. A minute later Guy Bates picked up the ball on the edge of the box jinked past the defender and fired into the right hand corner to make it 3-1.

This seemed to knock Crook's confidence and they offered very little going forward . On sixty five minutes Giroud got his second when Allotment took a quick throw in down the left and Giroud cleverly lifted the ball over the out rushing defender to fire home from the edge of the six yard box. The stats show how one sided this game was and let's hope Allotment can reproduce this at home on Saturday against Tadcaster Albion in the FA Cup.

Gut Bates getting Allotments third goal in the clip below.
